Dr. Iveta Nagyova is the Head of the Department of Social and Behavioural Medicine at PJ Safarik University in Kosice, Slovakia. She is also the President of the Section on Chronic Diseases at the European Public Health Association – EUPHA, a member of the EUPHA Executive Board, Chair of the EUPHA Section Council, a member of the European Advisory Committee on Health Research (EACHR) at WHO/Europe, and a Vice-chair of EACHR Implementation Research subgroup. She graduated in Clinical Psychology at UPJS, obtained her PhD in Medical Sciences from the University of Groningen, the Netherlands, and followed a postgraduate training at the University of Oxford (International Primary Care Leadership Programme, Cohort 10). Her research interests are in biobehavioural and psychosocial innovations in chronic condition management, knowledge translation, non-pharmacological interventions, behaviour change, improvements in functional status and quality of life in patients with a chronic disease and their implications for integrated care. She is a (co)author of more than 290 research papers, of which over 80 are peer-reviewed international scientific articles; her Scopus h-index is 20.
